Cuba Internet Freedom Conference 2017

The second annual Cuban Internet Freedom Conference was held on November 7th and 8th, 2017 at the Miami Ad school in the Wynwood Art District of Miami. Over 40 Cubans living on the island attended the event. The event included conferences on topics such as Cuban apps, Cuban independent media, Cuban social media and internet: the link to unlimited possibilities. All platforms went to live coverage at 9:00 am and until the end of each conference day with multiplatform “visual radio” using talent from all three platforms. The conferences are being packaged to air throughout the year. The CIF conference had a great impact not only on other media dedicated to Cuban affairs, but on a diverse range of national, international and local media. OCB executives were interviewed and formed part of news agency reports, national newspapers, and reports from local radio and TV stations.

The Cuban government also held an internet conference days before CIF to demonstrate their own successes in internet connectivity and internet advances on the island.
